Clint Hagen

President, Michigan Sugar Company Central District Board of Directors; Vice President, American Sugarbeet Growers Association

Clint Hagen is a fifth-generation sugarbeet farmer from Huron County, Michigan. Along with his brother, Brad, and their 20 employees, he operates Atwater Farms Inc. in Ubly, Michigan. The farm includes 4,100 acres of sugarbeets along with edible beans and white wheat. The Hagen brothers also have a trucking business and recently expanded into livestock with cattle.

As a Michigan Sugar Company grower-owner, Clint serves as President of the cooperative’s Central District Board of Directors and was recently elected Vice President of the American Sugarbeet Growers Association during the organization’s annual Summer Meeting in Boise, Idaho. Clint also maintains memberships with the Huron County Corn Growers and Huron County Junior Livestock Association and serves as President of the Ubly Community Schools Board of Education.

Clint and his wife Melissa have been married for 26 years and have five children – Dylan, Cole, Addison, and twins Beckett and Waverly – and one grandchild – Lochlan Rhett. Clint and Melissa enjoy watching their kids play sports and cheering on the Detroit Red Wings. Clint also enjoys a game of golf or two in the summer.
